About Michele

After retiring from the world of teaching young children for 30 years in Cape Town, Chicago and Durham, NC, I found a new passion.

I have been designing jewelry since 2005.  While not a silver or metalsmith, I love creating beautiful things and have always enjoyed working with my hands.   

I am intrigued with, and have a particular passion for finding and working with pearls, unusual beads and pendants that I find in my travels in the US and around the world.  I am particularly drawn to objects that come from Asia, and the Middle East, as well as clay and brass beads and pendants that come from different regions of Africa.
